Angelo Falato, the son of a restaurant family from Rome, traveled to Colombia, Venezuela and Guatemala before finally settling in Los Angeles where he opened a broasted chicken restaurant. The original Ameci Italian Cuisine started in New York City in 1931. Nicola (Nick) Andrisano grew up working in his father’s restaurant; and in 1983, he partnered with Angelo Falato to open Ameci Pizza. In 1983, they opened their 3rd location, and in 1984, they opened the first Ameci Pizza and Pasta.

A corporation was formed in 1984 with Nick Andrisano and Angelo Falato as officers. Following the death of Angelo Falato in 2002, his daughter, Maria Falato, has administered his holdings in the corporation. Today, Ameci Pizza and Pasta operates more than 40 locations across California, serving pizza, pasta, salads, subs, and more. Both delivery and pickup are available, and Ameci now offers easy ordering from your iPhone, iPad or Android device.
